Nanna Candelaria workshop is July 19-20 in Bridgetown, NS.

I just found out that Velvet Burnout, Nova Tribal Dance Troupe, is bringing in Nanna Candelaria in July 19 & 20, 2008. It's too late for the early bird prices, but not too late to register.

The workshops:

Saturday, July 19
  10-12  * Isolations – Defined & polished essentials, approach to veil work, variations and layering. (Bring a veil!)
  1-3   * Musical Understanding – Recognizing rhythm, timing, and melody in Middle Eastern music using vitalizing steps and a beat.

Sunday, July 20
10-12 noon:
    * Drum Solo Movements & Choreography – Methods to non-stop shimmies, crisp and forceful accents, and a high-quality Drum Solo. This workshop will culminate in Nanna's drum solo choreography.
