Hello Dancers!

I'm pleased to share the news that the Atlantic Dance Festival, being held in Moncton from Aug 8th to the 10th, is bringing in Bellydance Artist Yasmina Ramzy from Arabesque in Toronto this year!

Over the years, I have see Yasmina dance a number of times, have taken some of her workshops, followed a few classes at Arabesque and studied some of her DVDs. I also attended the first International Bellydance Workshop in April 2007 that she created. I must say that my respect for this woman grows with each encouter and that I am very Excited to have the chance to study with her again this summer.

Yasmina is going to be teaching a general beginner level class ($15) on Saturday Aug 9th as well as an advanced workshop for those with belly dance experience ($50) on Sunday Aug 10th. I have plenty of yard to pitch a tent and some room in my house to board outta town dancers . I know it is short notice, but I hope a good number of people attend, because if so the Festival is ready to regularly bring in the big names in our dance style.

ATLANTIC DANCE FESTIVAL

Dance is an art form that knows no boundaries. It moves beyond language, cultural, political and geographical frontiers. It is with this philosophy that DansEncorps Productions Inc. has created the Atlantic Dance Festival in order to bring together the people from different Atlantic dance sectors in a collective celebration of artistic excellence.
We hope this year's artistic program will encourage everyone from all walks of life to participate and dance with us for the 2008 Atlantic Dance Festival!
